staff. This list is alphabetical.
Borge
Andersen
Proprietor

Originally from Denmark, Borge Andersen has over 50 years of photographic
experience. He worked as a newspaper photographer for 15 years and 1968
opened Borge B. Andersen and Associates, a small photo house and photographic
studio. Over the years Borge’s firm, now called Borge Andersen Photo • Digital,
has become a leader in Salt Lake photographic and digital services.
Ane Asper
Financial Business Administrator

With over 30 years experience in the industry, Ane is adept at multi-tasking
and can be found providing customer service and overseeing the firm’s
daily financial aspects. She’s the mother of three; with five grandchildren,
an expert Danish cook and an exceptional hostess.
Rick Asper
Digital Services Department Head

Our resident electronic and computer fix-it wizard, Rick has over 33 years
of experience in the industry and has been instrumental in helping move
the firm into the digital age of photography. Rick is currently an undergrad
in Biology, is a ham radio operator, enjoys garden railroads and has a
passion for pinhole photography.
Ed Bateman
Digital Retouch and Restoration

One of the ‘Founding Fathers’ of our digital department, Ed holds
a BFA and MFA in Fine Art and has over 20 years industry experience. Ed teaches
in the Arts Technology program at the University of Utah and harbors a strong
dislike for red foods. He has been known to go by the name Captain Eddie:
Astronaut.
Curtis Dorney
E-6 Processing Department Head

Curtis has over 17 years experience in the industry. He’s also a Certified
Small Engine Repair technician, holds a CDL Truck License and is the youngest
Eagle Scout in his troop.
Jim Frankoski
Color Reproduction • Giclée Print Specialist

With over 29 years of experience in the industry, Jim’s expertise is in
fine art copy work but he’s also now enjoying the challenge of Giclée
production and printing. Jim holds a BS in Psychology… How does that make
you feel? Jim is a meditation guru who loves gardening. His personal work can
be found on exhibit at Local Colors.

With 26 years industry experience, Diane was a Food Stylist until the digital
takeover. Diane is a die-hard University of Utah sports fan and a holiday specialist
with her own May Pole Dances and St. Patrick’s Day green Jell-o cubes.
Helen
Patterson

Helen has over 10 years experience in the industry and 34 years as a commercial
art office administrator. An optimist by nature, Helen is a professional baby-sitter,
having 19 great grandchildren. She enjoys reading and has traveled to six of
the seven continents.

Jan holds a BA in English Literature and has over 27 years industry experience.
The outdoorsy type, Jan enjoys spending time with her dog George and working
in her garden.

Charlotte holds a BS in Business Management and has over 26 years experience
in the industry. She loves to do volunteer work with youth groups and cherishes
her experiences with the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympic Winter Games .
Al Thelin
Custom Black and White • Slide Department Head and Preservation Specialist

With 34 years experience in the industry, Al a restoration expert, holds a BA
in Journalism and a Masters in Children’s Theatre. Al is Swedish, a historical
re-enactment enthusiast and a certified ‘choco-holic’. His personal
work is on exhibit at Local Colors.

With 35 years experience in the industry,MP learned the craft of photography
the old fashioned way, under the wings of master "Maitre Albert Bady".
French born and schooled, MP holds a BFA-MFA in Photography. In Utah since 1983,
she has worked to serve the professional community as a teacher, photographer
and master printer. A lover of the outdoors, MP enjoys winter camping in Bryce
Canyon, cross country skiing, hiking & fishing in the Uintas.
